Eighth Annual Oyster Bowl Winner Crowned at Blue Point Grill
On Sunday, February 4th, 45 contestants participated in Oyster Bowl VIII, an oyster eating contest benefiting Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation New Jersey Race for the Cure.
Kristina Costa emerged as the first ever two-time champion, having also won Oyster Bowl VII. Costa devoured 82 oysters in 2 minutes. Nassau Broadcasting personality Dan Schwartzmann won the men's division, with 76 oysters. The event raised more than $14,000 for breast cancer research.
